A School Community United for a Global Cause
St Paul’s Catholic Primary School proudly took part in CAFOD’s Big Lent Walk, a joyful community event organised by our incredible Mini Vinnies. Their leadership and enthusiasm brought together children, parents, grandparents and the wider school family for a beautiful spring walk around Wolviston Village.
Walking With Purpose
As part of our Jubilee Pledge, this was more than just a community walk. We walked in solidarity with our global neighbours, raising an amazing £190 to support CAFOD’s Big Lent Walk campaign.
This donation will help fund floating gardens in Bangladesh, giving communities a sustainable way to grow their own food in areas at risk of flooding — a truly life‑changing gift.
Supporting Our Local Community Too
Alongside this effort, St Paul’s made a generous contribution to Billingham Food Bank, helping families right here in our local area. This dual act of giving — global and local — beautifully reflects the values at the heart of Catholic Social Teaching.
Faith in Action
This event was a powerful example of what it means to care for creation, support the poor and stand together as one global family. We are incredibly proud of our pupils, families and staff who walked, donated and encouraged others.
A special well‑done goes to our Mini Vinnies, whose compassion, commitment and leadership truly made this event possible.
